Marcela is a clinical psychologist with over 14 years of experience providing therapy to people from all walks of life and with varied types of emotional problems. She is a registered clinical psychologist in Australia and Brazil. She completed an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Marcela is friendly and caring with a down to earth approach to therapy. Marcela is the mother of a very artistic 9 year old girl and she enjoys learning from the challenges of motherhood. Marcela has a dynamic and yet reflective personality. She has embraced yoga and meditation many years ago as a way to put into practice the principles of mindfulness and of leading an emotionally balanced life.

Marcela has a special interest in working with children, families, developmental & parenting concerns, pregnancy-related problems including birth trauma, relationship issues, and also cross-cultural related concerns. Marcela also has years of experience helping adults recover from depression, anxiety and trauma, whether recent or trauma experienced in childhood. She helps adults, children and families reach emotional stability, clarity of thought, a sense of safety, healthy coping mechanisms, trust, and confidence by assisting them to overcome difficult experiences and to attain affective solutions.

Marcela is highly experienced at developing comprehensive care management plans for children. She knows how to translate complex professional advice into practical games and routines to help parents support their kids the best possible way. She works very closely and together with parents during children’s first infancy (from 0-3 years old) and formative years. Marcela is extremely caring and skilled at understanding the anxieties and insecurities parents face when they have a child with ongoing challenges. She has a very gentle and yet realistic approach that helps new families establish positive patterns and thrive right from the start.

Marcela’s practice lies on the principle that the honest and supportive interaction, as it unfolds in therapy, can promote emotional stability, self-awareness, resilience, personal growth, resolution of longstanding life patterns, meaningful decision-making, more gratifying relationships, improved family relationships, and overall wellbeing.

Marcela specializes in multiple areas of child psychology included but not limited to ADHD, ASD support, Self Esteem, Depression, Family Separation, Anxiety and Behavioural Issues.

Marcela is registered with the Australian Psychological Society and it’s College of Clinical Psychologists.

Roberto Szenczuk

 

Psychologist

Roberto is a warm and caring registered psychologist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. He has been working with clients of all age groups, including children, teenagers and adults. Roberto is passionate about creating positive and long-lasting changes in one’s life via self-reflection and present-focused guidance.

Roberto is excellent at creating a friendly space for his clients during their journey thourgh their psychological treatment. He is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and Australian Psychology Society (APS). He participates in individual and peers supervision regularly.

Across his practice, Roberto uses different therapeutic approaches depending on the client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focus Therapy.

Claudia Ferreira

 

Psychologist

Having a background in Law and Teaching, Claudia became interested in Psychology due to its potential power in generating positive changes for individuals, couples, families and society in general.

Life can be challenging and complex, and Claudia’s caring, compassionate approach combined with her high levels of professionalism and ethics allow her clients a safe space to explore their psychological landscape to better learn about themselves, their emotions and needs.

Applying a variety of evidence-based interventions, Claudia is a client-centred psychologist working with teenagers, parents, and adults of all ages suffering with personal, professional, relationship and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, trauma and personality disorders, among others.

Claudia loves reading, arts, having a laugh and is always up to some adventure. A soft front, a strong back, and a wild heart.
