How many sessions will I need?
How long will it take to see results?
Most people experienced decreased symptoms within the first and second months of therapy. However, it takes from 6-12 months to achieve long-term results.
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a psychologist.
Does Medicare cover your fees?
If you arrange a referral from your GP under the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme through Medicare, you can claim up to 20 sessions with a mental health professional each calendar year (this will revert back to 10 after 31st December 2022).
Your GP will refer you for up to 6 sessions at a time. If you need more, they can refer you for further sessions in collaboration with your psychologist’s guidance..

The Medicare rebate for an appointment with a clinical psychologist is $129.55, and $88.25 with a registered psychologist.
Clients who see us under the NDIS do not need a Medicare referral.

Do Private Health Funds cover psychological treatments?
Most private health funds cover psychology services under the “extras” category. We suggest contacting your fund directly before your appointment to check if Psychology included in your specific plan so you can understand the rebate level you can expect.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask clients to let us know if they need to cancel 48 hours before their appointment; otherwise, we charge a cancellation fee.
The cancellation fee is equivalent to one session. We have an extensive waiting list and ask clients to work with us in this way so that we can continue to provide top levels of service to our community.
What are your Covid safe protocols?

How long are the sessions?
Consultations with our psychologists are typically 50 minutes long.
What are your consultation fees?
We understand the pressure on family budgets and we are committed to keeping our fees below the Australian Psychological Society’s recommendation of $267 for a 50-minute consultation individual consultation.
Discounted rates and bulk billing are also available upon a case by case assessment.
